Installation

Install from Chrome Web Store

1. Visit the Chrome Web Store
2. Click “Add to Chrome”
3. Confirm the installation when prompted
4. The extension icon will appear in your browser toolbar

Verify Installation

After installation, you should see the Genspark to Obsidian extension icon in your Chrome toolbar.

Tip: Pin the extension for easy access by clicking the puzzle piece icon, finding “Genspark to Obsidian”, and clicking the pin icon.

• Chrome: Fully supported (recommended)
• Edge: Fully supported
• Brave: Fully supported
• Opera: Fully supported
• Other Chromium browsers: Should work but not officially tested

System Requirements

• Chrome browser version 88 or higher
• Active internet connection for downloading exports
• Sufficient disk space for exported Markdown files

Troubleshooting Installation

Extension icon not showing:

• Click the puzzle piece icon in your toolbar
• Find “Genspark to Obsidian” in the list
• Click the pin icon to make it visible

Installation failed:

• Check your internet connection
• Try restarting your browser
• Clear browser cache and try again
• Make sure you’re using a supported browser version

Permission warnings:

• The extension needs permission to access Genspark.ai to read your conversations
• All data processing happens locally in your browser
• No data is sent to external servers
