Getting Started with Perplexity to Notion

Perplexity to Notion turns searches, source trails, Spaces, computer-task output, and supported embedded documents into structured Notion pages.

Before Your First Export

1. Install version 3.2.0 or later.
2. Sign in at https://www.perplexity.ai.
3. Refresh the Perplexity tab so the extension can connect.
4. Authorize Notion.
5. Select a compatible target database.
6. Keep Include Sources & Related Questions enabled if you want the full research trail.

Choose a Workflow

Save the Active Search or Task

Use the popup when you are viewing one valuable Perplexity search or computer task. The active tab must use /search/{id} or /computer/tasks/{id}.

Export Selected Items

Use Batch Export when you want to load a list, select specific conversations or tasks, and monitor one small export run.

Back Up All Matching Items

Choose Save All to Notion to paginate through the current data source:

• All Threads
• Computer Tasks
• One or multiple Spaces

The date filter and local exported-record cache are applied during export.

Keep the Archive Updated

Enable Auto-Sync after a successful manual run. It uses the current database, source, filters, sync behavior, and exported-record setting. The Batch Export page and a refreshed Perplexity tab must stay open.

Recommended First Run

1. Use All Threads.
2. Enable a recent date under Date Filter.
3. Keep Skip if exists and Skip exported records enabled.
4. Load the first page.
5. Select one safe test conversation.
6. Click Save Selected to Notion (1).
7. Verify the Notion properties and page body.

Understand the Two Skip Layers

• Skip exported records uses a local Chrome cache of Perplexity item IDs.
• Skip if exists queries the Notion database for the source URL.

If you want to overwrite or duplicate an item, disable the local skip option first.

Current v3.2 Limits

• Current-page save is available on the Free plan.
• Free batch export can save up to five successful items per day.
• Successful saves contribute to the free daily counter used by Batch Export.
• Premium removes the batch restriction.
• The current interface does not provide a local Markdown download action.
